Recommended allocated telescope time by the CAT

Semester 2025B

Gran Telescopio Canarias

* Oversubscription factor in 2025B = 2.5
* Right ascensions between 10 h and 14 h are more heavily oversubscribed.
* A-band proposals have carry-over status over the following two semesters (2026A and 2026B), except for ToO proposals.
* A-, B-, and C-band MEGARA proposals requesting visitor mode are recommended in service mode.
* ToO proposals in band C are not approved.
* Approved ToO proposals must follow the GTC ToO policy.
* Approved ToO proposals are allowed the triggers indicated in the proposal. Triggers on objects not included in the approved proposal are not permitted.
* Filler proposals with grades below the cutoff mark are not approved.
* C-band proposals cannot be assigned visitor mode.
* All PIs and teams are kindly requested to prepare phase 2 very carefully and according to the scientific program and objects approved by the CAT.
