Special call for INT and Mercator proposals – 2017B

The Spanish night Time Allocation Committee (CAT) announces the special call for proposals for observing time with the INT and Mercator telescopes corresponding to semester 2017B. Proposals are due on Sunday, June 11th, at 17:00 h Canarian time (18:00 h CET). Large programs are not accepted in this special call for proposals. Particular conditions are described next.

  • INT. Semester 2017B runs from August 1 (2017) through January 31 (2018). A total of 17 nights are offered in this special call for proposals: 12 dark nights (priority will be given to proposals covering the period November-January) and 5 bright nights (any time during the semester). Offered instruments are indicated here.
  • Mercator Telescope. Semester 2017B runs from October 1 (2017) through March 31 (2018). A total of 28 nights are offered in this specail call for proposals. Proposals requesting 3 or more nights are very welcome. Offered instruments can be found here.

Applicants should take into account the information provided above when selecting their targets and preparing their proposals.

To submit proposals in response to this Special Call for INT and Mercator programs, authors should use the cat.iac.es application tool and select “Spanish CAT (CATESP)” (see “How to submit” for further help). Note that only INT and Mercator proposals are accepted in this special call for proposals.
